What Customers Say About LeapFrog Discovery Ball:

Product was great - Amazon gives great service and you can depend on them - Thanks

Perhaps I can sing these songs with my grandson because they were the children's songs when I was a child. We bought this for our grandson early on and he and his friend still play with it once in a while. I am confused by the bad reviews given this toy. I am inclined to believe that these parents have probably never been exposed to these "age-old children's classics" as I have been. He is now 5 years old and we still sing the lyrics to most of the songs which I took the time to teach him such as Comin' Round the Mountain, Jimmy cracked Corn, Row, row, Your Boat and many, many more which are quite recognizable. Not just a bunch of tones strung together like one reviewer said. In closing, I wish to encourage parents to purchase this toy and perhaps learn some of the songs so they can teach their children as I have done with my grandson. I think it is both very educational and enjoyable for the little ones.

I bought this for four-month-old grandson and gave it to him early last night when he was fussy.talk about an instant distraction. My husband "discovered" the 3 settings and started playing the individual alphabet songs. Then he and the boy pressed the alphabet letters to make the sounds of each and repeat. He was excited, focused, enthused, delighted. The individual buttons may be slightly difficult for little fingers to press, but that's what parents (and grandparents)are for - to become involved and share in learning and *Discovery* with their children. After about 10 minutes of intense concentration playing, he had "sensory overload" according to his mom. His eyes grew wide; he started batting it, got a reaction, batted some more. I even looked up the lyrics to one of the upbeat songs, Wait for the Wagon (for the letter W)- written 1851.

That's when 3-year-old grandson and my husband began to play with it. Grandson listened to, then started singing along with the alphabet song, looking to each of us for affirmation - so proud of himself, so thrilled to learn. I had no idea what all this ball could do when I bought it - it's pure magic, wonderfully entertaining and provides a wealth of diverse fun and educational activities to bring joy and smiles to old and young alike. Love this toy, can't wait to return Christmas day and maybe I'll get it all to myself, although I'm kind of looking forward to playing with the remote control train.

This toy was the BEST when my son was learning to sit up by himself. We would put the Discovery Ball in front of him and he could grab it and spin it, and it would make noises. He absolutely loved this toy.Once he started crawling and being more mobile, it wasn't so interesting anymore - but I believe it served it's purpose.

She loved listening to the alphabet song. I got this one, but the spansih version, for my daughter when she was about six months old. Now that is in kindergarten, she still loves to listen to the Spanish alphabet and sings along with it. She just turned 5 years old and she still loves it. As a baby, I would roll it to her and she would "catch" it. It is very educational and I highly recommend it to anyone regardless of English or Spanish version. This is one of the best toys ever.
